Schema tag properties in web

Every developer is doing some stuff like SEO, but most of them skip about the tagging property that appear in the search result.

The primary purpose for doing the tagging is to allow search engines to display more information for your pages when it shows up in the search result pages and hence improving the overall click through from search result pages.

There are several things to implement for this case.Most of them are GoodRelation, RDF and schema.org

Example for ratings in IMDB, they are using the tags from schema.org.

rating

You can use the rich snippets testing tool provided by Google to check if all of the properties you used will be correctly displayed on Google search results: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets You can try copy the below code and paste it in HTML tab at snippets testing tool.

<title>Don Jon (2013)</title>
<div itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Movie">
    <span itemprop="name">Movie Name:Don Jon</span>
    <div itemprop="aggregateRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/AggregateRating">
        <span itemprop="ratingValue">7</span> stars out of
        <span itemprop="bestRating">10</span>
        <span itemprop="ratingCount">35173</span> votes
    </div>
</div>

Most of the shopping and movie site are using this tagging to get more page view and also give the vistor about the general information like rating, price and category.If you just consider for details, it’s the things you should not skip.

This is the example about that include rating, price and category( breadcrumb )
